| B.Tech. - Electronics and Communication |
|
 |
| Full time 4 year graduate degree programme approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD. Govt of India and affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University. |
| Computers, TV’s, STD & ISD, cellular and cordless phones, digital audio and video, multiple simultaneous brodcasts and reception, e-mail, voice mail and video conferencing, large volumes of data transfers and computerized monetary transactions in banking, the gradual reality of the paperless office are developments that we everyday learn about. But are not these the marvels of research and development, of invention and innovation, of application and use of miniaturization and the resultant savings in scarce resources brought about by Electronics and Communication. |

Electronics & communication engineering is one of the frontier enabling technology of the information and communications technology (ICE) sector, which is bringing evolutionary changes in our societies, entertainment and human relationships. The major driving force of the department is its experienced faculty and laboratories. The emphasis in the department is on micro electronics, satellite, digital, analog technology and the application of electronics in health care, remote sensing, automation, signal processing, defence, oil and gas exploration, communication, space research programmes. The department is conducting research in the area of signal processing. The academic activities are supported by the laboratories like digital communication, signal processing, and microwave, mobile technology, network and analog integrated circuits. The department also has a “roboclub” to promote the innovation and research attitude in the students. Department conducts workshops, seminars on emerging technologies and software’s which are being used in industries such as
|
| » |
Workshop on MATLAB. |
| » |
Workshop on embedded system |
| » |
Workshop on xyling and VHDL with FPGA implementation |
| » |
Workshop on latest simulation softwares like orcad, simulink. |
|
| Such workshop and seminars increase the employability factor of students as they will have experience and exposure on such technologies.Department also has strong interaction with industries. Frequent industrial visits are organised. Training of the students is organized in the industries like BSNL, ONGC, BEL, DRDO, IRDE, AIRTEL etc. |
| Academic Objectives |
| The academic objectives of the departments is to provide education in electrical science, circuit and network technology, signal processing, power embedded technology MSI, LSI, VLSI, satellite communication. Fiber optics, microwaves and consumer electronics, system analysis, instrumentation, control systems and energy conversion etc. |
