Admission

Admission to the Ist year B. Tech. shall be done through the counseling which will be conducted by the Uttarakhand Technical University on the basis of AIEEE 2011 Rankings and for Meritorious 10+2 passed Students (PCM Group Only).

Admission to the IInd year B. Tech. (IIIrd semester) through lateral entry for 3 year Diploma holder / B.Sc. (PCM ) passed Candidate shall be done through Counseling to be conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on the basis of merit obtained in the Uttarakhand Technical University-Entrance-Examination (UKSEE 2011).

The Uttarakhand quota is 50% of the seats and All India quota is 35% of the approved intake. 15% seats are in the Management quota. Admission against the Management Quota seats, in each programme will be done in the Institute directly on the basis of merit drawn amongst those who get themselves registered with the Institute. The application form can be downloaded from the Institute’s website and duly-completed form shall be submitted to the Institute .

Interested candidates are advised to get themselves registered with the Institute at the earliest. The eligibility criterion for each programme is given below. Those appearing in the qualifying examination this year are also eligible to apply but they will have to complete the eligibility requirement before the admission time.

Eligibility Criteria

B.TECH. FIRST YEAR

 

4 years Full Time Undergraduate Degree Programme Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India and Affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

Eligibility:

 

• 10+ 2 with Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry/Computer Science

• Merit in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (A.I.E.E.E.)


• Simple 10+2 Passouts with PCM Group are also Eligible for admission in 1st year.

B.TECH. SECOND YEAR

• The Candidate must have passed Three year Polytechnic Diploma recognized by Board of Technical Education Uttarakhand with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates with B.Sc. (PCM Group) are also eligible in this category.

• Merit of UKSEE 2011 being conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University for details related to UKSEE-2011 visit www.uktech.ac.in (The official website of Uttarakhand Technical University).

• There is no provision of direct admission in 2nd year, the Candidate must have appearance in UKSEE-2011 Examination.

 

Documents Required at the Time of Admission

1. Original Copy of AIEEE 2011/ UKSEE 2011 Rank and Admit Card.
2. Duly attested copies of High School Score Card and Passing Certificate (In Two Sets).
3. Duly attested copies of Intermediate Score Card and Passing Certificate (In Two Sets).
4. Character Certificate from the Principal of the School/ College last attended.
5. Six Passport Size Color & Six Passport size B/W photographs.
6. Medical Certificate from CMO which should also indicate Blood Group.
7. Transfer/ Migration certificate (Original Copy has to be submitted in college at the time of admission).
